We’re Here!!!

Well we did it. We woke up in Nepal to a very cold-d-d-d. morning in Nepal, probably in the high 30’s. it’s the kind of morning that one does not want to get out of bed but one must (out of shear hunger). My body clock is out of whack. I can’t tell if I’m tired or hungry …….o.k. I’m back I had to go get my coat. One helpful thing I did was to bring fingerless gloves ,good for typing. With every one thing that I can pat myself on the back for remembering, there are five more I forgot. Nothing too critical, so far. Kirk and Will are doing well. Our journey was fairly uneventful. As some of you know, it was snowing in Little Rock when we were d ue to fly out. Our flight was cancelled and Kirk had to reschedule in order to hookup with our connecting flight(s). Our flight to Kathmandu was also cancelled, shaving 5 or 6 hours off our layover in the netherworld of the Delhi airport, Praise God! Although by arriving early, we missed the big welcoming “committee”, flower garlands placed around our neck etc. I have to say that this arrival seemed more fitting. It was a homecoming of sorts and the kids in the children’s home welcomed hugs after their traditional “Ja’mase”(?) greeting(will explain later). When shy little Roda jumped into my arms(age 5 and the youngest here) my joy was complete. Please continue to pray for this worthy ministry as they live out the gospel. Please pray for our continued health and God’s grace and wisdom to handle the task to which we have been called and sent. Please pray for us as we assess the needs-there are many. Just one area is building maintenance. The basic needs of food and shelter have naturally been the top priority but there are no resources left until an emergency arises. Well, got to go. We have some MAJOR shopping to do! WE NEED TOWELS!

Just need to know if you got my first comment of a couple of hours ago, because I sent it from my iphone and I don’t know if it went through, but I don’t think it did for whatever reason. God bless you guys. Give everybody there a big hug and jaimashi for me. Terry

So glad you all made it safely. Please let me know of any specific and present needs that I can contribute to in the work there. Also will Vic be using this blog? If not, how can I stay in touch with him?
